Well, here we go – Day 1 at MSFW and I am sitting at home, in pj’s, eating crackers, after the first big day. What a glamorous life I do lead.

Sarah Willcocks and I at Hats and High Tea, Sofitel Girls Day Out, Flemington
The weekend kicked off in fabulous spring style and with it, an invite to Hats and High Tea at the Sofitel Girls Day Out, Flemington. You will remember I was a Flemington regular last year, cooling my heels daily at the Myer Fashions on the Field marquee, armed with the coveted guest list.
But this Saturday was quite the opposite. Champagne, canapés, chocolate fountains and crepes? Yes please, and I’ll have a candy bar noodle box to go.

Yes, it was just that amazing. Thanks to Style Melbourne and the VRC for having me along – check out Sarah and my pretty dresses at the races, milliner Kerrie Stanley and socialite Lillian Frank.
Monday night heralded the SABA/Vogue party, relaunching the flagship store on Collins Street. A party which is sure to be featured in the social pages of the Sunday papers, the redesign of the store is minimalist, giving much more space to the new season collection.

Colour blocking all the way, orange and cobalt blue are the colours of the season and it seemed the tangerine hue was everywhere on the night. Menswear was also a hit, taking over the second floor of the store.
Meanwhile, I am still buzzing from last weeks’ Stonnington Spring Fashion Runway, with a big thanks to all the fashionistas who came out to make it a spectacular event.

One day down, six days to go. Get some sleep fashion folk. We’ve only just begun.

Need I say more? All the latest arrivals are on the shelves at Albert Park’s Paloma Bleu.

Named after an exotic beach club in the south of France, Paloma Bleu showcases the best of international and local designer labels, many exclusively, thanks to the owner Laura Williamson’s dedication to importing the brands herself on regular buying trips, rather than waiting for local distributers to pick up the labels.
Paloma also stocks a beautiful mix of accessories including hand-made jewellery and hats from New York designers, colourful Argentinean-inspired espadrilles, and a selection of scarves, candles and unique gifts from all over the world.

Visit Paloma Bleu is located at 176 Bridport Street, Albert Park. Contact (03) 9699 7303.
